I wish my posts were not always so late :( And more updated...
Part I: LAB
It's the first day of school and I have labwork for Haematology. It's a pretty awesome lab session! Because it is on Blood Typing. I know I'm a B+, just wanna reconfirm my blood type!! :) So the first step is to prick my finger and collect 500ul of blood in a small tube. My friends helped me to prick my finger ._. Because I don't dare to prick it myself. So the first prick, aiyo only 1-2 drops. Second prick! Third prick!! Fourth prick!!! All the blood not enough and it clotted too quickly. For the fifth prick, I asked my facilitator for help. She only managed to collect a little and told me that I can't do the reverse grouping test because there is not enough blood to centrifuge to get the plasma for testing :(

Me dripping two drops of my blood (diluted with saline) onto the card for each section of the card and rotating the card to mix the liquids together!

At the end of the lab lesson, I went back to class with 5 plasters on my fingers and knowing that my blood type is really B+ :)
Moreover, there is a GV Grand Annual Staff Party 2009 at night, 10pm! But pretty sad, I have work at floor until 12.35am. So I have to finish up my work first like clearing for theaters and washing of the popcorn warmer before joining in the fun. There are food, games, lucky draw and of course, what is GV good for? Movie screening! :D
The food were home-cooked and work-cooked (with leftover popcorn and nacho cheese too!) I didn't eat much... Most probably hungry until not hungry already or going around "koping" people's food earlier :X
We have to be split into teams for the games, Charades and Islander. My team consisted of me, Charlton, ShunAn, Puikwan, ZiJian and lastly, Auntie SohKoon. They named us the Auntie Society because for Auntie SohKoon =__= and not one else wanted to join us because of her D: So while rest of the teams have 9-10 people. We only had 6 people. Pathetic eh? Well, even more pathetic is... WE LOST FOR EVERY GAME! Blehx :P For once, I'm so proud to be in the loser team! xD
For the lucky draw... So sad. I didn't win anything... There were only 30 prizes, ranging from perfumes, canon camera, PDA to a Wii! But *sighs* Didn't win anything!! So fed up :X Anyway I got over it pretty quickly because I enjoyed watching them do forfeits. Because for each number you draw, there might be a god of fortune or a clown printed at the corner of it. A god of fortune = a free pair for GV Grand Gold Class tickets. A clown = forfeit! Some of the forfeits are dancing the VISA dance and writing someone's name with your butt xD
I reached home at 3.15am, rushed to complete my RJ, bathed and went to bed immediately at 3.45am. AND I HAVE SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY. Gonna be uber high :\ Haha. That's how I spent my monday. Fun right? xD *pictures of the party, hopefully I can get them from my manager :(*

OH GOSH! Noooooooooooooooooo... I overslept again! And this time I woke up at 8.30am... Don't need to go already. School already started! Labwork somemore. And today is my favourite module, Structure Biology with all my favourite friends and facilitator. By the time I actually made my way there, the labwork has ended, no need to do already. So I stayed at home and spent my whole morning trying to patch the stupid RO2. And nooooooooooooo... IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. :@
Hur~ I miss such fun times in lab again! :(

Today Haematology lab session was once again fun!! :D I have to "donate" my blood too due to my teammate's idea "One for All, All for One". So everyone in my team have to donate their blood for testing. So what type of testing I did today! Wright-Giemsa Staining for white blood cells :) So let's begin~
Finger prick with a lancet. "Ant bite" Like real!!!
Facilitator helped me to squeeze 0.5ul of blood out.
SO PAINFUL! I pain until wanna die.
And you all don't feel pain one?!?!!? :\

So yep, this test is the stain the white blood cells (WBC) so you can differentiate them from the red blood cells. The purple stained ones are the different type of WBC as you can see from the different morphology (structure & stuff). And the rest are the red blood cells :)
Tomorrow there is another blood drawing... This time for glucose testing... And my first Understanding Test (UT)... T_T

I had my first labwork of the semester!! Haematology~ And it is Oh-My-Gosh so fun!! :) I get to learn how to use vacutainers and draw out blood from the antecubital area of the arm! And of course, I didn't draw blood from my classmates' arm or even mine. But from a dummy arm!! xD
But our team's blood is too diluted!
The other two teams got fake blood that looks more like real blood! *jealous* *ENVY*

And if you poke correctly, the blood will get suck into the tube almost immediately by the vacuum!
These are the vacutainer tubes that I have successfully drawn blood with :D
My room is gonna get redesign(?)... Like with more shelves for me to put my stuff, etc. So most of the stuff like one of my tables is being removed and there is like an empty space at the corner of my room for me to EMO there and /wrists :D
Here is what it looks like... SO MESSY! I can't even walk about. Everything is in the middle of my very very very small room. I felt awkward and rather uncomfortable sitting there using my laptop. My desktop has been removed as well... Because I didn't use.
(Actually those who have seen my room previously before this so-called construction, will know exactly what I'm typing here.)
Hope these changes better come quick... >:(

FIRE! FIRE! FIRE!!

Today is a weird salamander day, I think... (Yup, salamanders are often related to fire if you didn't know that.) Because everything happened is something to do with it! Flame, Fire, Burn.
First was FYP... FYP on Monday totally brings the whole week's mood down. Anyway, for this semster's FYP, seems like I'm being "forced" to cut plants up... So I had to sterilize the forceps and scalpel each time I cut something with ethanol and bunsen burner. At one point, my scalpel caught aflame and I didn't realize it until Joshua told me. xD
Then very soon after that... A FIRE BROKE OUT IN THE LAB!! In the laminar flow, precisely. The GA7 container that holds the ethanol for flaming caught on fire. Looks like... we put the bunsen burner too near it. We (Audrey, Joshua and I) dropped everything immediately and pushed everything away from the flame... We started panicking as well because we didn't really know what to do and our facilitator wasn't in the lab (Nice timing hoh?). Audrey really looked like a panicking chicken. Kenneth poured RO water on the fire, causing it to spread further. Joshua tried to remove the GA7 but was stopped. I quickly ran out to find the TSO. (What did Kerus do anyway? And who was it that suggested to use the fire extinguisher... =__=) Luckily the fire was put out in time and we got scolding, including Ritu, the facilitator! I was trying to stop myself from laughing when she was being told off. I didn't really like her anyway... After all the commotion, I left for work! So sudden! xD Btw, this is the 2nd time a fire broke out in the PTC lab.
At work, it was my last day at Candy Bar and Puikwan's first. It was a really great last day for me. I enjoyed working together with Puikwan and Umar!!! Hope there will be more days like this... AND! My finger got burned by a sweet popcorn...... Pregnant already, got baby (bubble) also... Now I realized how painful it is. Last day already!! Still get burned. Unlucky. The manager, Jet, so nice... Helped me to apply antiseptic and put plaster on my finger :) Anyway, my next duty will be BOX OFFICE!!! I had a bad feeling about it already... :\

**Limit Break!**

9th Jul can be counted as one of enjoyable days of this year! It was like a resting period, a time to break loose and let our hair down, after all the stressful days. And the best thing to do is to... PLAY ARCADE! Whee~ I love DDR~ So Eisha, Audrey, Farhan and me went to Causeway Point to play the Time Zone there. I'm so happy that I was able to introduce Eisha and Farhan to DDR! It's really a great game.
After that, when Eisha and Audrey went off, Farhan and I walkwalk, talktalk, playplay, watch movie, "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" (He got free tickets xD). Haha~ It was really an enjoyable day! Next wednesday again okay? But aww~ I may need to go for excursion to NUH. We'll see then :) Next event would be the KHK chalet~ whee!!
Anyway! Previous Histopathology lesson was actually my first lab session for it! And I get to cut up kidney! Rat's one, to be precise.

=D So fun!~ Nowadays kept doing lab work. Be it in the laboratories or in the class! These are some of my results:

3: Fingerprint Analysis
AND I LOVE PLAYING WITH THE MAGNIFYING GLASS!!!!~
With this, I can find chio bu and microbes with it! See it's proven! XD
Yesterday my brother came home with a V.For.Vendetta Mask! Yes, he bought it!!!
He wore my hoodie and this mask; and started dancing all over the house. It was freaking hilarious XD

I think I will be blogging a lot of things today! Get ready!!~

Yay for group pictures! -the 1st pix is the one when we laugh about Kelvin's "I AM MR SLIM"-
I think we look really nice in the final picture we took. Yes, I'm talking about the group picture!! Jackie looks like a bodyguard, me as a mafia's daughter and Kelvin, PEDOBEAR! kiddin' a childhood friend. After this, Jackie and Kelvin started stripping cos they cannot breathe and laugh at the same time! FOR I AM MR SLIM! -jiggles-
So yeah, on that day too, I found out that our EOY cosplay clothes have already arrived. So we (J1, J2, Leon, Jackie and me) headed to Bishan to collect the costumes at Izumi's house. Woah man! The distance between the Junction8 and her house is freaking long. My feet hurts ._. And her house is huge! Two storeys HDB house. Rich people X(
When I finally get to take a look at my costume. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. YES! To a point where I wanted to give up cosplaying for EOY. The dress... I would say... IS SHORT! REALLY SHORT. Can see my panties if I really wore that out. T_T DO NOT WANT! So embarrassing... But I didn't give up yet! Spend too much money to give up. CANNOT! It's really sad.... I really felt that I have wasted my money~~~ Btw, J2 and Leon's swords was really well-made!~
On Wednesday (DESU DAY!), I met up with XueNi. She is here to help me in my EOY costume! Muack!~ Love her~~ Bought lots of stuff as well... MY MONEY ARGH!!! DON'T FLY AWAY!! Stuff like 1 metre cloth [wah this one walk everywhere also cannot find the exact cloth and colour, so in the end bought a cloth which is one tone lighter], fabric glue [scammer... IS NORMAL PVC GLUE LOH!], strings and more stuffs!
Saw buttons that look like candies in jars!~ So deliciously colourful~ But the CANDY IS A LIE!
After all the stuff was bought (well, most of it), we went to eat at SWENSEN'S!~ Baked rice XD Then we made our way to her house and start work!
LOL! So messy! Everything was like dump on the floor. Really thank you to XueNi and her mother to help me extend the dress, at least to a length that cannot see my panties XD THANK YOU SO MUCH!! But I still can't jump!! =( Next Sunday, for shoes~~~ Reached home around 11pm, luckily it had stopped raining. It has been raining like from 10am+ to 9pm+! It's like the sky cannot hold its bladder anymore and let out all at once!
And for today Thursday, I get to use the blood pressure machine in today's lesson! So fun~ And it's so easy to use!
My readings for the systolic/diastolic blood pressure is 78/48 and pulse rate is 79.
*For your info: The systolic blood pressure represents the pressure in the arteries as the muscle of the heart contracts and pumps blood into them. The diastolic blood pressure represents the pressure in the arteries as the muscle of the heart relaxes after it contracts.
My faci said I got low blood pressure... =( Hope it's not deadly... yet... Oh wait, it's good to a certain extend! People who have lower blood pressures have a lower risk of stroke, kidney disease, and heart disease. Therefore, low blood pressure is desirable as long as it is not low enough to cause symptoms and damage organs in the body. XD
Then my faci also asked me to calculate my BMI (Body Mass Index)
Formula: BMI = weight(kg)/height^2(m^2)
And my BMI is 16! I'm UNDERWEIGHT! XD Woah if I'm lesser than 15, I would be in the Starvation Category. And I'm like nearly there! What AM I to DO!? XD
AND MY EXTERNAL HDD CRASH! SPOIL! BOOM! NO MORE! T_T VERY SAD AND FED UP! ALL MY ANIME AND PSP GAMES GONE! GONE!
