Happy Halloween! :D

After seeing XueNi's blog post, I also want to do a post like that xD With an anime picture. Not KHR, of course. But a Code Geass one :D Such a pity that Singapore with all its high-rise buildings AND we do not really celebrate Halloween - Trick or Treating. Because with all the blocks and houses so close by. It will be such a breeze :P

& also...

Blasting off again?

Friday, October 30, 2009 @ 9:16 PM

::26th Oct 09::

Lemme skipped two belated posts first and blog about this one here first :$

I went for training at MoM from 8.30am to 11am. It was really silly. I have no idea what is the purpose of it but I fully get the idea of what I will be doing. And I do not like it at all. Especially the agency, Business Edge. They are the worst job agency. They do not tell you anything and only tell you if you asked them! So most of the time you will be totally clueless. DO NOT GO TO THEM AT ALL!!! I'm warning you :\ And I refused to start work at MoM on Monday, 2nd Nov, as well. I'll be going to an interview at the Subordinate Court instead :)

Boring labor force survey :\

Met up with Daphne, Audrey and Puikwan after their office work and also after I watched finished two movies, Amalfi and Julie & Julia, at GV Grand. We wanted to discuss our Batam trip and also to change money. But we were too late and thus the money changer have closed. I passed SGD100 to Puikwan to help me change the next day. SO PUIKWAN HOH!! O$$P$$!! :D

Photobucket
Coincidence dressing?

Anyway, my Batam trip will be on the 31st Oct to 1st Nov. 2 days 1 night! Don't miss me too much, okay? And when I come back, I really need to quickly blog about all the belated, delayed posts :\ So tomorrow is the trip already! O_O I have not packed yet xD And I have to wake up at 5.30am. Aww, shucks...

Btw, I have watched Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT! On the opening day, 29th Oct, at 11am. The very first show :) I truly enjoyed the movie. I got to see a different view of him. The way he works with the people and everything. I even bought the CD at a staff price of $12. Actual price is $15. There's even a Michael Jackson package of 2 tickets, 1 CD, 1 shirt and a popcorn combo at $45. But I didn't have that kind of money to spend, of course. Now this was it.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Heh. I'm obsessed! xD

Photobucket

Photobucket

& I'll try to keep the GV job even if I have a new office hour job. I'll try...

Photobucket
The happy times~ :D

NOW! LET ME GO BACK IN PACKING MY STUFF FOR THE BATAM TRIP!!!! :@
Stop procrastinating and do it now. No more time! 5.30am wake up!! :( Need to sleep. Like now.
Oh! The people who are going were Audrey, Daphne, Lisa, Puikwan, Shalee, her mama and me! 7 of us.

Checklist made by Puikwan.

Lastly, the Pokémon card I made using some Pokémon card creating website.

Seifuku! | Cloth Hunting!

Saturday, October 24, 2009 @ 1:39 AM

::20th Oct 09::

Got totally nothing to do so I decided to watch movies :) Like you know, for FREEEE :D My favourite thing to do when I've got nothing to do. Was supposed to watch "Imagine That" with Rebecca but I couldn't contact her at all! Because she left her handphone in her locker D: But she came down in the afternoon to get it back.

Rebecca later accompanied me to get the Japanese school uniform (seifuku) from the online seller at Bedok and also to meet up with ShunAn. And we made our way back to Great World City to play arcade and watch another movie, "The Hurt Locker", which I promptly fell asleep during the show. & I'm proud of it! :D

Photobucket
Percussion Master! :D
This is so much easier to play than Taiko drums, seriously!

Photobucket
DDR.
ShunAn vs. Me xD

Photobucket
Trying out the seifuku I bought :D
I don't know how to adjust the scarf properly :( Need more practice, I guess...

Photobucket
Bought it for $54 :)

::22nd Oct 09::

-Flashback - Went with Jasmine and XueNi on the 13th Oct to meet the tailor, Lillian, for my AFA cosplay costume. Lillian also told me what type of cloth and how many meters I'm suppose to get for the costume. 3m orange cloth, 0.5m brown cloth, 16 inches open end zip and some strings. Feels like some kind of treasure hunt game!! xD

And now finally I found the time to go cloth hunting with XueNi. And I realized that I HAVE FORGOTTEN TO BRING A PICTURE OF THE COSTUME! That was so retarded of me :\ I went online on my handphone and downloaded the picture from Wikipedia. Thank goodness for technology.

The first stop we made was at Chinatown, People's Park Complex. I bought the zip and strings there, cost me $2.40 for both items. The cloth we didn't manage to find it :( Either it's of different shades of orange or wrong cloth material.

Photobucket
Lunch there before the hunt begins.

Next stop was Plaza Singapura, Spotlight. Worse... No suitable cloths at all and the prices are rocket high! Anyway, from the purple line to red line, we went to Raffles Place's Hong Leong Finance building to meet Joshua's mama to collect the zoo passes from her. Thank you and for the trouble ^^'''' Before moving to our next destination, we ate some expensive pudding thing called "Trio Chocolate Mousse with Berries" at the OUB building's Swissbake. I treated XueNi as well :D So nice of me? :X

Photobucket

Photobucket
One costs $3.90!~
Expensive feel, right? :X

Anyway, our next place to search for the cloths was at Arab Street. Woah! I was amazed by the number of fabric shops there. Though my head nearly explode from the strong scent of Indian perfume stuff there and also the crowded-ness of the place. But we managed to find my cloth there :D Bought both orange and brown cloth at $19.50. & I can't forget the line that the guy from the carpet shop said with his strong Indian accent. "Carpets for you, ma'am?"

Photobucket
And with that, I managed to buy all my materials!
Thank you XueNi for accompanying~

With the time left, we walked to Suntec City to check out XueNi's AuditionSea account at Asiasoft PCBunk. And also I spotted a shop that sells wings! I could definitely use it for my AFA cosplay. But then, it costs $39.90 :( I'll think about it. Still thinking...

When I was looking at the wings, the shopkeeper beckoned me to her so she could show me some colouring book magic trick. After that, there were two secondary school looking guys by the counter, probably learning magic tricks from the shopkeeper earlier. One of the guy wanted to show me a magic trick, the ring & chain one, which I already knew how to do it :X He failed twice before succeeding in doing it. I pretended not to know the trick and asked him to let me try as well xD And I succeeded in doing it on the first try. The guys were really shocked and totally owned by me! Awesome~ Anyway, after they left, the shopkeeper then told me/us that they wanted to get my/our numbers :X Aww~ Too bad for them.

Photobucket
Ladybug earrings I bought :D

Photobucket

After that, we went home from the bus stop near the Esplanade. It was a freaking long ride home for me :\ And I didn't bring my NDS or a storybook... Slept throughout the journey home, listening to my mp3.

Photobucket
Showing off my small collection of nail polishes! xD

::Haw Par Villa::

Friday, October 23, 2009 @ 1:28 AM

::19th Oct 09::

After passing by Haw Par Villa a few times, I've got a sudden urge to have an excursion there. I've been there before when I was really young... But I don't remember it anymore. Well, maybe only some short memory flashes of the trip. So I dragged XueNi along with me! :D Okay okay, I'm not that bad!! D: I asked her first before dragging her there :P Took bus51 from the bus stop opposite Alexandra Hospital to Har Par Villa.

Anyway... Har Par Villa was kinda run down. Nothing much to see except for the "Ten Courts of Hell" and lots of displays of Chinese statues and stuff. Also, only a few of the displays have signboards of description. So most of the time, I was totally clueless of what am I looking at :\ Just randomly walking about and merely looking at the displays. Moreover, the day we went on a really really scorching hot! The sun was totally merciless! I felt as though my soul was being sucked away. Bit by bit! The excursion was even more tiring than the HSBC Tree Top Walk! D:

Anyway, from here onwards, there would be a spam of pictures. Because I didn't really know what to type/say about the displays. Chinese legends and myths are not my forte. I can't remember as their names and stuff are in Chinese! & worst if they have no descriptions at all.
So here we go~ xD

Photobucket
虎豹別墅!

Photobucket
Imagine that there was actually a $16 admission fee!
But that was a long time ago.

Photobucket
Sheep vs. snake
Who will win? xD

Photobucket
Time to walk to the entrance~

Photobucket

Photobucket
Yay! Reached xD

Photobucket
As you can obviously see... this is the map of Haw Par Villa.

The first attraction we went to see was the "Ten Courts of Hell". There is a $1 entry fee for it. The whole place there is a nightmare :\ Especially when you entered the "Ten Courts of Hell". It was a hellish nightmare. Filled with gruesome statues. Well, hell ain't a walk in a park. But outside was alright. I didn't take any of the gruesome statues in there. But XueNi and I managed to read and see all the different punishments for different sins. We were scared and held onto each other in the beginning xD Because... WE WERE THE ONLY PEOPLE IN THERE :\

Photobucket

Photobucket
The ticket.

Photobucket
"There is no end to suffering in here; Stop sinning before its too late."
English translation.

Photobucket
I have no idea what does this meant...

Photobucket

Photobucket
But there are lots of limbless animal statues there D:

Photobucket
I like this :)
Peace~

Photobucket
Another peace~

Photobucket
Wishing well!

Photobucket
Spewing out green algae water... :\

Photobucket
We tried to make a wish by throwing a coin at the bell.
But we missed xD

Photobucket
Here is the entrance to the "Ten Courts of Hell",
guarded by "Ox-head" and "Horse-face" of the "Nether World".

Photobucket
Time to go in D:

Photobucket
King Yama judging the person's sins.

Photobucket
Golden bridge for those with virtuous conducts in their past live.
Sliver bridge for those whose good deeds during their life outweighed the bad.
The evil doers will be taken to the Mirror of Retribution and then to the different courts for punishment, depending on their sins.

Photobucket
After serving their punishments, King Zhuanglun at the Tenth Court will then judge
whether the person will reborn as an animal or a human.

Photobucket
They will get brought to the "Pavilion of Forgetfulness" where an old lady, Men Po, will hand them a cup of magic tea which on drinking, makes them forget their past lives.

Photobucket
After drinking the magic tea, they will leave the "Ten Courts of Hell"
via one of the 6 paths of the "Wheel of Reincarnation", the Samsara.

Photobucket
I like saying this! :D

And with that, we left the place and went outside to continue walking randomly about. For more information on the "Ten Courts of Hell" like the different punishments served, click HERE.
Oh! There was one thing that puzzles me... Why are there lots of statues of animals behaving like humans?!?!?! And I also realized that for Buddhist, their heaven is only for gods and those immortal beings. And after walking through the "Ten Courts of Hell", from the way it looks like everyone is going to hell... :\ Glad I'm an atheist :D :X

Anyway... here are more random pictures. Really don't know what to say anymore about the place :(

Photobucket
Not sure why is there a Statue of Liberty there? :O

Photobucket
Huge dead praying mantis :(
R.I.P.

Photobucket
Fu Lu Shou; 福禄寿

Photobucket
Sounding the Fu Lu Shou bell~
It was really loud! My ears hurt after that xD

Photobucket
The Chinese Zodiac.

Photobucket
Dragon! Me! :D

Photobucket
Oops~ :X

Photobucket
The wall of 9 dragons.
The Emperor's sons.

Photobucket
Random stuff I saw there! xD

Photobucket
Water hyacinth :)
So pretty~

Photobucket
Us! :D

Anyway, we left the place after exploring for 1 hour, with aching legs, sweaty bodies and depleted souls. Waited friggin' long for bus51. We then went to Bugis for KFC and also visited iluma to see if there were any spare jubeat machines... but NO! It was crowded as usual :\ I bought my painting stuff at $8.50 for my Pokéball at Bras Basah Complex's Popular.

Photobucket
When should I start on my Pokéball!!
I wish I would quit procrastinating!! D:
