::Thailand - Krabi Trip; 25th May to 28th May::

Tabs to visit the other parts of the trip:
Thailand - Krabi (Pre-Trip)
Thailand - Krabi (Day 1)

Day 2 time...
Really need to hurry to finish this...
But the lack of time to do so...
Is so excruciating... @.@

Day 2 (26/5):

8am (thai time) was the wake up time for Day 2. I think I was the last one to wake up as usual... possibly? xD Freshen up and went down for our breakfast buffet! :D When we reached there, there's already a handful of tourists/resort guests getting their breakfast so much earlier than us! First thing to do was to walk around and look at the buffet spread!! xD Nevermind about table/seats first. There's a lot still vacant :P

Photobucket
Breakfast place with resort guests~

Photobucket
Wide spread of food, I would say *_*
There's even an egg station to request how do you want your eggs to be prepared!
Sunny-side up? Scramble? Omelet?

Being very typical Singaporeans, we took each of everything to try. And so, we ended up with a table - filled with plates of food :X

Photobucket
Meh, not that exaggerating, right?

Individual shots with our individual plates :D

At approximately 9.30am (thai time), we were extremely stuffed from eating. Well, at least for me xD Went back to our own rooms to rest and take turns to bathe. My turn was first though; so later when it was XueNi's turn to bathe, I got bored of waiting so easily and quickly D: I went to call room 404, but there was no answer. Tried leaning out of the balcony to take a look at the room 404... looks like there's no one in the room to me. So I told XueNi that I went out to find Puikwan and Fazillah in the resort lobby... because that's the only place they would be.

And I was right :D There they were sitting at the lobby with their netbooks - facebooking and uploading Day1's pictures. Anyway, they soon packed up and I followed them to their room, 404. Puikwan and I borrowed Fazillah's eyeliner to apply. Such vain girls we are :X

Photobucket
Pretty, right?
This is actually the ashtray on top of the dustbin!

Photobucket
Lobby area~~

Photobucket
With eyeliner applied! :X

After that, we went back to room 405, found XueNi and started with our day's planning. Since Day2 is free and easy, we have the whole entire day to ourselves. For relaxation and enjoyment! :D We decided to spend our day at Krabi Town - because from what we have heard, it's the only town here in Krabi. Yes, obviously as the name clearly mentioned. Before we set off towards our destination, we took some group pictures at the balcony :D Great plain background, lovely natural lighting; what more do you still want? :P

Photobucket
Lovely girlfriends :D

Photobucket
With that, a clique was formed - Candilicious! :D
(name was brilliantly thought up by me :P)

Photobucket
Same dressing(?) :D

And yes, it's time to get out of our comfort zone. Once we were outside and heading to the main road, I realized I have made a very silly blunder :\ I have forgotten to bring my wallet out! It's in the damn safe box D: XueNi accompanied me back to get my wallet, while Puikwan and Fazillah stayed put and waited for us.

As soon as we were a party once more, we went asking people how to get to Krabi Town. Getting there by taxi was too expensive and no discounts so we declined. Apparently getting there by a local "bus" was the cheapest. But... we have completely no idea where the bus stop is. Spotted a dirty lil' shelter like stand, we all had doubts whether that is the bus stop or not :\ We also saw a little boy urinating in the middle of the street @.@

Anyway, we asked one of the vendors at the roadside stalls - where is the effin' bus stop? And she told us to stand by the roadside and wait D: We kinda all went, "HUH??????" Firstly, we have no idea how this local "bus" looks like and now we have to stand by the roadside like idiots? It was rather disturbing and confusing at the same time.

But to our amaze, a big version of the tuk-tuk stopped in front of us. The driver was shouting, "KRABI TOWN! KRABI TOWN!" while honking his vehicle horn nonstop. Our doubts disappeared immediately and we boarded the "bus" :) There were already two caucasians on board! Looks like it's not a trap to kidnap tourist and sell them away :X

Photobucket

Photobucket
Wonderful scenery from the "bus"

The "bus" was moving at a very high speed D: This caused the wind to increase its velocity against the "bus" and this wind messed up our hair and we were pretty much covered by fine dust/dirt that has been blown in :\ Oh, the buses here are pretty special btw. You just have to press the bus to alight anywhere! :D No bus stops. It seems like these buses take the same route like normal buses do; except you can alight anywhere in the route! :D Fazillah also spotted lots of halal food stores and mosques as well. This made her feel very melayu xD

Photobucket

Photobucket
Candilicious on the road! :D

After thirty minutes, we have reached the town of Krabi. Paid the driver 50baht (SGD2.20) each and it's time to explore the place! Not sure where to start from as the driver has dropped us in the middle of the town @.@ So we just randomly wandered here and there. There's so many short shop-houses. Kinda reminds me a bit of Arab Street :X

Photobucket

We stumbled upon a really pretty sight! Flight of staircases leading up to two white buildings with blue roofs structure. The white was kinda glowing under the intense sunlight. It was a bit too glaring for the eyes! @.@ Did we check the place out? No, we didn't. Weren't very sure what are those buildings supposed to be... They look pretty much like places of worship O.o

Photobucket

Photobucket
Posed for ten seconds under the blistering hot sun D:

Mou~ We couldn't stand the sun any longer. So Puikwan and I took out our pink umbrellas :D Now with the umbrellas sheltering us from the sun, we continued our wanderings. We soon realized this town has totally nothing at all. Shops that sells repetition of dusty old stuffs and lots and lots of shops selling motorcycles. With not many people around, it seems like a barren place to me :\

Photobucket
Cool traffic lights though :P

Things turned out to be not so bad... when we came across a small roadside store selling earrings. At last, something we could spend our baht on! I only shared a pair of earrings with XueNi though... and I think I have already lost it :X Well, anyway, we continued on and spotted an air-conditioned building, the Vogue Department Store!! And of course, we went in immediately and walked straight into Swensen's :D Heh, ice cream? xD

Photobucket
The "Swensen's World of Sundae" standee attracted us like flowers to bees :P

The service was excellent! Water was immediately served to us when we sat down; followed by the menus. I think all restaurants in Singapore should practice this service. I do not like paying extra service charge for lousy services :\

Photobucket
Cute cup design! :D
"SUPER FANTASY SUPREME SUNDAES"?!?!?!?!

Looking through the ice cream menus, we finally decided on the special offer they are having; which is the "Swensen's World of Sundae". Fazillah chose the American Banana; while the rest of us chose the English Cookies. The cost for each sundae is 55baht (SGD2.40)! Omg, so cheap right? :D Amazing~

Photobucket

Photobucket
And they are here!! :D

Photobucket

Photobucket
Extra maraschino cherry for me :D
can't remember who didn't want hers :\

And in a blink of an eye, this was the results of the ice cream.

Photobucket
Yum~ *burps*

Photobucket
Receipt :)

We explored the Vogue Department Store next and I found out that it's like OG in Singapore :\ Sooo boring! Nothing to buy at all. Same price range as Singapore's; might as well buy in Singapore :X In the end, we went back to the Dunkin' Donuts shop right outside of Swensen's to take a look at the pretty donuts. Found out that they are having a special deal of six donuts for 99baht (SGD4.30)! So due to impulse, we decided to buy some donuts. Since it's difficult to share six donuts with four people, we made Fazillah take three donuts and then the each of us took one :D Best idea ever right???

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Our six chosen donuts~ :P
But... aww these donuts didn't have a good life afterall... :X

Nothing much to be done at the Vogue Department Store anymore. So we left the heavenly air-conditional place and onto the sweltering streets of Krabi Town. After wandering around for a few more minutes, we couldn't take it anymore D: We went up to some tuk-tuks and asked if there are anymore shopping centres around here in Krabi. The place, "Big C", was mentioned often. So yup, that was our next destination!! I have completely no idea what kind of place is this "Big C" was @.@ Anyway, we managed to bargain with a tuk-tuk driver and got 250baht (SGD10.80) as the price to drive us to the "Big C".

Photobucket

Photobucket
New pose created by XueNi!
(she was trying to push up her spectacles and the photo was taken xD)

And it was a thirty minutes ride there~ The BIG C SUPERCENTRE! The driver actually wanted to give us two hours for shopping and then pick us up later to send us back to our resort. We politely declined as we were afraid that we might take more than two hours.

Photobucket

However the moment we entered the "supercentre", we realized that it wasn't as super as the name said to be :\ This Big C Supercentre is just like Singapore's IMM; but with lesser shopping outlets. It's like a super big Giant/Carrefour (hypermart) and there's a huge Home-Fix like store on the second level as well. No wonder the uncle kept insisting that two hours would be enough for us @.@ Moreover the items sold there wasn't that cheap at all D:

Photobucket

Photobucket

Suddenly we felt the urge of munching something small xD After walking around, we decided to eat at KFC as they have these small snack items like shrimp donut, salmon stick and fish donut. Something that Singapore's KFC do not have at all :P And they all cost 29baht (SGD1.30) each!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Their current happymeal comes with a Crayon Shin-Chan toy :D

The KFCs in Thailand are pretty much like a restaurant. They have water served, the food comes with plates and utensils - forks and knifes. Classy~ Puikwan ordered the shrimp donut; while the rest of us ordered the salmon stick :P When our food arrived, Fazillah had a opportunity in demonstrating her McCafé food designing skills to us; using our food xD

Photobucket
From plain ordinary food to something much more creatively interesting :D

Photobucket
Now the food is as classy as the restaurant ;D
To think that Fazillah's Art & Craft in school was so horrible; but she managed to create all these fine art out :P

Somehow these small snacks turned out to be our appetizers... so we ended up craving for more food!!! Fried chicken please~~~~ :D Ordered a four piece chicken meal that includes fries, three drumlets and two glass of Pepsi.

Photobucket
Puikwan and Fazillah queuing to order our set meal;
and at the same time wondering what does the thai sign mean.

Photobucket
Like nice~

More utensils came along with this set. Being Singaporeans, we don't eat KFC with forks and knifes. We eat them with our bare hands :D So we were like the odd ones out in there; the only ones not using the forks/knifes to eat :X More burping competition afterward due the carbonate gas in the Pepsi. Fazillah had to drink down the whole share of the Pepsi, in order to force herself to burp @.@ Kinda crazy if you would ask me :P

Btw, somehow the box of donuts accidentally dropped onto the floor - upside down. All the cream and jam got stuck onto the top of the box! It was pretty disgusting; I seriously don't think anyone is gonna eat them at all. However, mine turned out to be safe! Because mine doesn't have cream or jam on it; everything is internal :X

It seems like we spent a lot of time in KFC. When we left the restaurant, we decided to give the Big C another go. But it was still as boring... Went for a toilet break before getting out of this place of extreme boredom.

Photobucket
Found this mobile phone battery(?)
Interesting brand name huh? :D

Photobucket

Photobucket
Taking pictures in the toilet +1

We were pretty worried that we might not find a taxi or tuk-tuk to drive us back to our resort. But when we went outside, the tuk-tuk uncle who drove us here earlier was still around and was waiting for us! And so we took his tuk-tuk back to our resort.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
The tuk-tuk :P

Photobucket
Going back to the resort to rest!!! :'D

Photobucket
Candilicious forever~

On the tuk-tuk, we kinda got crazy and remade the national day song, "Shine on Me" into a halal/melayu song and also a special merge with Justin Bieber's "Baby" ending part for Fazillah specially.

"Stars and crescent shine on YOU,
Make YOU feel more melayu.
All the halal food that can be found in Krabi.
Stars and crescent shine on YOU,
Make YOU feel more melayu.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
More melayu~~~"

Okay... I guess we were pretty mad :P Haha!!
And with that, we finally reached our beloved resort!~ :)

Photobucket
Took a picture with the tuk-tuk before the uncle drive off~

Photobucket
All imitating XueNi's new pose :D

Before going up to our room, we booked our night massage at the reception. Coconut Massage this time round :D Anyway, I'm so happy to finally be able to rest in the room with all the aircon in the world~ XueNi and I took a nap before being woken up by a call from room 404. It's time to head out for some night shopping and supper :P

Photobucket
XueNi tucked Mr. Green to sleep before leaving @.@
SO DISTURBING!!!
This frog even has his own footstep sounds!! Dx

Shopping time first, of course :P Bought some stuffs here and there. We decided to hunt for a beach sarong so that we could wear it out for our beach activities tomorrow. We finally found a pretty pattern that all of us likes at the last store :D And all of us bought the same colour as well - Blue! :D Bargained with the shop lady until it was 240baht (SGD10.40) each. We even gave it a nickname, "wrap-wrap" :X

Photobucket
First item that Puikwan, XueNi and I bought! :P
Three keychains for 100baht (SGD4.30)

Btw, the local people there were very fond of disturbing tourists like us; especially those who have totally nothing to do but sit by the roadside benches. Whenever they see a chinese/malay tourist walked pass, they will shout out greetings in mandarin/malay and even words like 我爱你/aku cinta mu... So crazy @.@ There's a little boy who liked to emphasize on our singlish, "leh, loh, lah". Every of his sentences will end with those...

Photobucket

Photobucket
Some statue that we found in the middle of the street :P
"I WAS THERE! @ WALKING STREET, AO NANG, KRABI"

Photobucket
Are you thinking what I'm thinking, B1?

Lastly, we decided to have Burger King for our supper~ While walking to the Burger King, XueNi and I were walking quite fast; and Fazillah and Puikwan were taking their time strolling. Suddenly Puikwan increased her speed and wanted to catch up with us. Fazillah unable to do so, started "OEI"ing very loudly after her. The local who was sitting by the side also imitated Fazillah but also added another line of his own, "OEI, YOU'RE SO HOT!" Fazillah immediately picked up her pace and started mumbling to herself, "No lah. I'm pregnant. I'm married. Don't know how to see properly ah?" It was hilarious!

Anyway, there's a big dog sleeping in front of the Burger King when we reached there; so we had to protect Fazillah from the dog, in case it happens to wake up when we were passing by it to get into the restaurant.

Photobucket
Displaying our Krabi shirts - 160baht (SGD6.90) each
and "wrap-wraps" that we have bought :D

We have to eat rather quickly because we have a massage appointment later in our rooms and we certainly do not want to be late for it :D Once done, out of the door and briskly down the streets we went! All the way back to our resort :P This time Puikwan didn't go for the massage. She happens to be a very ticklish person xD! So she didn't really enjoy the first time round.

After the pleasant massage, we all smelled like delicious coconut milk! :D XueNi and I went over to room 404 for the usual exchanging and circulating pictures - Day 2 ones! And we also practiced wearing our "wrap-wraps" :D

Photobucket
Are we candilicious?? :D
(woah, my hair was so messy!!! @.@)

Photobucket
Blue/yellow - XueNi's
Baby pink/hot pink - mine :P

We went down to the lobby area to use the WIFI so that we can facebook for the day :P But we were attacked by swarms of mosquitoes! It was terrible. There were LOTS of them D: So I decided to try out a method my papa has told me about - to use soap to kill them :D By using the soap to create foam and then covering the foam all over your hands. You can kill the mosquitoes by just swiping your hands in the air. Foam can disrupt the static in the air, leaving the mosquitoes unable to avoid your hand, thus getting stuck to the foam and were pronounced dead immediately :D AWESOME, right?! It was proven and tested out by us :)

And also, we took ridiculous pictures using Puikwan's webcam xD Well, to tell the truth, Puikwan and I were the ones taking those ridiculous pictures of ourselves nonstop :X I created a .gif file for one of them. Had another disturbing set of pictures as well... but it's too disturbing to be posted online. Puikwan and I looked very crazy - like we're being possessed or something Dx

Photobucket
Heh, horrible lightings, I know!!

Photobucket
GIF time!! :D

After the "killing-mozzies" workout and phototaking marathon, we went back to our rooms. It's time for XueNi and Fazillah to exchange rooms :) They brought some of their personal stuffs over for the night. Fazillah is my new roommate :D We had a great heart-to-heart talk about love/romance before falling asleep :)

& that's the end of Day 2 of the Krabi trip! ♥

My fucking camera suddenly got the vibrating sydrome :(
There's something wrong with the camera's len.
It kept extending and retracting nonstop,
causing the pictures to be blurry and vibrating...
Because of it, I got very pissed off with it.
I don't think it likes Krabi at all.
It was fine in Singapore.
Seems like its condition is getting worst.
Stupid vibrating sydrome :\
