::Thailand - Krabi Trip; 25th May to 28th May::

Tabs to visit the other parts of the trip:
Thailand - Krabi (Pre-Trip)

So crazy...
I just realized from editing all the pictures;
that I have lots of pictures!!!
The worst is... the other days have more @.@

Day 1 (25/5):

During the one and a half hour flight, not only I didn't have a good sleep and to make things worst... there's a very noisy indian family sitting in front of us with their 没有礼貌的小孩. So horrible! I was super glad that it finally reached the Krabi International Airport at 8.30am (7.30am Thai time) so that I could get out of the claustropic airplane and away from the noisy indian people (not trying to be racist but... ahhh~ they were very annoying and noisy Q.Q)

Photobucket
The airplane landing area is really small as compared to Singapore's one.
Thus, parking of the plane was really fast and soon we could get of the airplane! :D

We then made our way to the place to get our passport stamped at the immigration point. The queue was pretty long as there were only a few counters opened. Once that's over, we went out though the arrival gates and to search for our tour guide. I was afraid it might be like the time at Bangkok where there's too many tour guides and we couldn't find ours :( But phew! There were only two guides standing near the arrival gates :D So it was easy peasy~ :X

Photobucket
In line for something special?
Nah, just to get new Thailand stamps for our passports! :P

Photobucket
Our mobile phone lines all became "TH GSM" D:

The tour guide told us that there were still other parties that have not arrive yet. So we have to wait for them to all reach the arrival gates then we could leave the airport. First we wandered all over the airport - pretty small :\ Then we got tired of walking; so we stood nearby to the arrival gates. From standing, we changed our positions to sitting. To sum everything up... yes, we did wait for the last party to arrive for a pretty significant long time.

Photobucket
Krabi maps and our resort brochure!
I grabbed them from behind one of the tour agency counters :X
Sneaky~ Sneaky~

Photobucket
Wait. Waited. Still waiting!

Finally, the last party appeared and they walked through the arrival gates... To our great horror, they were the noisy indian family with their 没有礼貌的小孩 Dx They will be on the bus with us and they will be super noisy like they were on the airplane T.T

Well, nevermind about them. Since all parties had arrived, following our tour guide, we made our way to the bus parked outside. On the bus, the tour guide told us that it was still too early to check into our resorts so there was a mini tour planned out for us. Yay!~ :D

Photobucket
Krabi time and temperature.
And omg, I didn't realize we were stuck in the airport for an hour;
before we could board the bus :\

Photobucket
in the bus!

Our first destination of the tour was The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Sua); twenty minutes bus ride from the airport. There were lots of dogs and monkeys in that place. We have to protect Fazillah from the dogs xD What actually amazed me was the absolutely huge and really tall chedi structure near the entrance of the Tiger Cave Temple. It was really really tall and really really huge! Oops, I've already said that :P

Photobucket
The cutest dog there! :D

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Buddhas.

Photobucket

Photobucket
@ the entrance of The Tiger Cave Temple.

Photobucket
The main attraction is the 1,237 steps that wind up around the limestone cliffs.
Once reaching at the top of the mountain, you will get to see superb 360-degree view of Krabi.
Due to time constraint, we didn't get to do so :(
But if there's a chance, I would like to go back and try it out! :)

Photobucket
A man-made waterfall, I suppose :P

Photobucket
Group picture with it! :D

Photobucket
The monkeys there seem to be staring at you maliciously D:

Photobucket
XueNi and Puikwan went to pray to the Goddess of Mercy.

Photobucket
This is the really really tall and really really huge chedi structure that I mentioned about!
The entrances were guarded by dragons and tigers.

Photobucket
Four dragons.

Photobucket
Two tigers.

After taking with the two tigers, we have to get back on the bus already. We took a long time to take the picture with the two tigers due to the people who were taking their own sweet time to take pictures with the two tigers. After they took the pictures, they still don't want to walk away but stood there talking away :@

Anyway, the next destination was... a duck noodles store in the middle of nowhere. The tour guide told us that there was no seafood for us :( Only a duck noodles store that offered duck noodles (obviously), pork fried rice and vegetarian fried rice. The way the tour guide pronounced fried rice with her thailand accent was really funny!! Flied lice, pork flied lice, flied lice with vegetables; they all sounded disturbing and disgusting :X

Photobucket
On the road again~
So awesome to stare at a totally different scenery from the city one in Singapore :P

Photobucket
Krabi skies with Krabi clouds! :3

Finally we reached the place :D Puikwan ordered duck noodles; XueNi and I ordered pork fried rice and Fazillah, vegetarian fried rice. I didn't know that muslims were unable to eat duck as well! But now I know :P Lucky for Fazillah that there was the vegetarian fried rice choice.

Photobucket
March onwards to the yumyums is! xD

Photobucket
Although the drinks we have to pay for ourselves...
but it's in bottle and only cost 15baht (SGD0.65)
So much gassier and tastier; and I've broke my no-gassy-drink ban O.Q

Photobucket
Pose with our glass bottles of ♥~

Photobucket
The food have arrived!~

Photobucket
Picture with food and glass bottles~

Photobucket
& the place is swarmed with lots of houseflies :\
Absolutely disgusting!!!

After our houseflies-disturbed meal, we got onto the bus to continue our tour to the next destination~

Photobucket
The uberly long stretch of road beside the store.

Photobucket
Finally I've got a chance to take a picture of the bus
that have been driving us everywhere :D

Photobucket
On the bus again~ V^_^v

Photobucket
I managed to take two snapshots of the cows grazing by the road side!! :D
Yayness~ ♥

Photobucket
Still happy not to see anymore of those high-rise buildings!!
The tallest thing there is most probably the cliff-looking hills.
So much skies! :D

Our third destination was a tourist-like shop that sells local products - probably at a higher price so that the tour agencies can earn commission :X We just went into walk around and took a look and then walked out without buying anything; well, except for XueNi who bought two packets of local crackers.

Photobucket
@ the shop entrance.

Photobucket
Do you Krabi?

Photobucket

Photobucket
Us, foolishly mimicking the toilet signs xD

Back to the bus after going to the toilets :D Another thirty minutes and we have reached our final destination; the "Krabi Coastal Fisheries Research and Development Center". Wow, there's a really mouthful of words! xD And it was getting pretty sunny out there. Hot!!!~ Went around from tanks to tanks, looking at the different breeds of fishes there~ Nemo as well :P

Photobucket
They shouldn't really change the colour of every single letters in their sign...
It's hard on the eyes!

Photobucket
Mustn't look at XueNi's angry face!! :P

Photobucket
Fishes!! :3
The pufferfish tried to kill me as I struggled to take its picture :\

Photobucket
A goodbye kiss for the lil' fishy.
It's time for us to part~

With that, our tour was over and it's time for us to go to our resort. The bus have to made its way to different resorts to drop groups and groups of people off. Ours was the last resort for the bus to stop by. And so, we slept for the entire one hour to catch back on yesterday's rest. We wished very hard that the indian family with their 没有礼貌的小孩 wouldn't be staying in the same resort as us. Won't be that much of a coincidence right??? Anyway, by the time I woke up and alighted from the bus, I didn't see them anymore!!! :D

Photobucket

Feeling rather drowsy, we followed the guide and walked all the way to our resort, Krabi La Playa Resort!! :D The resort looks rather neat and sweet :3 But the moment we turned into the lobby area, that view shattered... we saw the indian family with their 没有礼貌的小孩 happily seated there... well, behaving rather noisily... IT WAS THAT COINCIDENT!!! Q.Q Why doesn't miracles happen more than once? But this does?? Dx

Photobucket
The lovely Krabi La Playa Resort~

Photobucket
Our tour guide helping us to check in :)

After approximately twenty minutes, we have acquired our room keys for rooms 404 and 405. So excited to see how the rooms look like~ :3

So roommates for the rooms have already been decided long ago;
404:- Fazillah and Puikwan
405:- XueNi and me

Photobucket
405; two single beds
404; one queen-sized bed

It looks really really neat on first sight! :D (neat as in "elegant: simple, effective, and elegant". Not the "orderly in appearance: orderly and in a clean condition" meaning) I was totally amused by the elephants sitting on the foot of the beds :3 It's actually made up of two towels; big one for the body and small one for the head!

Photobucket
Elephants :P

Photobucket

Photobucket
Lovely view of the skies at the balcony~

Another interesting is the secret "window" in the bathroom. From the outside, it looks like a cupboard. This "window" can only be unlocked and opened from the inside of the bathroom. So that the other party can see you bathing in the bathtub! So romantic~ I can think of all sorts of lewd things that can be done already :X

Photobucket
Different views of the bathroom.
Sink, shower, bathtub with "window" closed and with "window" opened :P

After all the picture takings of our wonderful room, Puikwan and Fazillah came over to room 405 to discuss and plan our day's itinerary.

Photobucket

Photobucket
Not sure where did XueNi is... probably in the toilet :P

We decided to rotate our sleeping partners :D So that all of us would be sleeping with a different person every night for three nights. Oops, that sounds very wrong in a good way xP So it's time to draw lots! :D Initially, we trying drawing the lots with papers indicating each of our initials. But it failed terribly! We kept on drawing the same person or ourselves instead @.@ So we changed our methods to the room numbers and it worked out well indeed :D

Photobucket
The lot slips.
First method. Second method.

With that, my next sleeping partner was Fazillah :)

With our itinerary of the day set, Puikwan and Fazillah went back to their room; and we get ready to go out. First to-do on the list was... TO THE BEACH! and also to explore the area around our resort at the same time.

Photobucket
We're Ready! :D

Photobucket
Going down~~

From our resort, we wandered out to the main streets; tried figuring out the giant board with the map of location and we were still very confused/disturbed. We have given back all our Geography map reading skills to our Geography teachers!!! D: So Puikwan and Fazillah went to the Tourist Information building to get directions instead.

Photobucket

New info gained! The nearest beach is the Ao Nang Beach located much further down the street! A little more walking and we would be there~ Walked past a mini-mart and decided to stop by to purchase a bottle of sunblock lotion. We didn't bring any from Singapore; due to the liquid limit thing. And we need it for our day3 activites! :P I don't want to be darker or increase the chances of skin cancer D: Most importantly is not to be anymore darker!! :@

Photobucket
& yep, they bought ice creams as well.
NIVEA Sunblock Lotion - 480baht (SGD20.80)
I think it's pretty cheap. But I'm not very sure... Will go check it out if I remember to :P

We continued walking along the streets of Ao Nang - Krabi. Past by lots of shops and restaurants; most of them were standing outside their shops and promoting their stuffs; be it food or items to every tourists who walked by. One of the indian restaurant's uncle was really funny - when we ignored him and carried on walking, he would asked, "Are you angry with me?" Maybe a little more strange than funny @.@

Photobucket
So nice~ Totally away from the hectic city life :3

Finally!! I could see the sea!! The wonderful blue seas! :D

Photobucket
Such a pretty view of Ao Nang Beach :)

We spent our time strolling to the other end of the beach; taking pictures, picking up seashells and totally enjoying the view and the sea breeze. Total relaxation!

Photobucket
WELCOME TO AO NANG BEACH! :D

Photobucket
Individual shots :P

Photobucket
XueNi's DSLR scenery shots! d^_^b*

Photobucket
My shot - not as nice but okayish.
Lots of broken bits of shells. Colourful!

Photobucket
Dead jellyfish and live mini crab

Photobucket

Photobucket
This shot kinda reminds me of a scenery in China :')

Photobucket

With that, we have ended our beach stroll and went back to walking along the streets. Basically, we didn't walk turn around and retrace our steps. We walked up the the streets and walked back towards the direction of our resort. Most of the shops were selling souvenirs and stuffs only tourists *ahem* like us would spend our money on.

Photobucket
The streets and they are surprisingly clean! :D

Photobucket
Shops staggered between restaurants; vise versa.

Photobucket
Lots of roadside stalls selling halal food!
Fazillah was very pleased and relieved! :'D
=refers to past experience in Bangkok=

Photobucket
Pretty frangipani flowers~

Next up on the list was FOOOOOD! Walking back and forth, trying to decide where should we eat. In the end, we decided to go back to the strange "are you angry with me" indian man to have our lunch/dinner. That restaurant, the Royal Tandoor Indian Restaurant, has different varieties of food to offer - indian, thai and european/western food!

Photobucket
Really nice and simple ambiance.

Photobucket
Menus~

Photobucket
All of us ordered ice lemon tea! :P
Real pretty and it suits the seaside feel~

Photobucket
:D

Photobucket
The food we ordered!
Fazillah:- Spaghetti Bolognese
Puikwan:- Tom Yam Kai (Tom Yam Soup with Chicken) + White Rice
XueNi:- Kaeng Keow Wan (Green Chicken Curry) + Cheese Naan
mine:- Spaghetti Alla Carbonara (which I took very long to decide O.Q)

Photobucket
Again with the food, this time :3

Photobucket
Total bill:- 885baht (SGD38.30)
Cheap? :D:D:D

Time for our third activity, swimming in the resort pool! Since we have a pool and brought our swimsuits for this trip, so why not? :P We wouldn't want to swim in dark so we tried to hurry back :X Puikwan made a wrong turn and we all ended up lost instead xD!

Photobucket
Found this strange resort with vines growing around it.

We retraced our steps, made the right turn and found ourselves back at our Krabi La Playa Resort!! :D Took a few more pictures here and there before going back to our rooms and change.

Photobucket
@ the entrance of Krabi La Playa Resort
Reception/lobby just up ahead.

Photobucket
Some ornaments :)

Photobucket
Reception/lobby area with free WIFI available!!
Good for those with their WIFI technology stuffs Q.Q

Photobucket
Going up!~

We changed immediately into our swimsuits and I allowed XueNi test out her DSLR on me xD She became pretty much a lolicon afterwards :X Fazillah and Puikwan came over later and we took some group pictures together before heading to the pool. Sweet :)

Photobucket
Guess who? :P

Photobucket
It's me! :X

Photobucket

Photobucket
Puikwan came over and pose with me! xD
Posing as though someone (trying to act like a pervert) is taking our pictures
and we suddenly realized it :X

Photobucket

Photobucket
♥ my girlfriends~ :3

Photobucket
Off we go!~
It's pool time!

The pool was pretty deep; I have to keep tipping-toe for most of the time. But it's okay - most of us has the skill of swimming. Well, except for XueNi who has the fear of water D: So Puikwan piggybacked her and "drove" her around. As for me, I need to cling onto someone in water! It's my nature :X So I clung onto Fazillah instead :P We discussed about our second day's itinerary and chatted until it began to feel rather cold... like it's about to rain any moment. We quickly got out of the pool, wrapped ourselves with the towels and ran back to our rooms to bathe and change xD

Photobucket
Cold, still got time to take picture.
Awesome~

The chlorine water really killed my hair big time. But I managed to revive it a bit by spamming lots of conditioner. After we were all nice and dry, we decided to go out and grab some night snack. When we were about to leave the resort, it was drizzling :( So we went back up to our rooms to retrieve the umbrellas for usage. But we got tricked by the weather and didn't have to use the umbrellas at all =__=

Photobucket

Time for us to hit the roadside stalls :P Fazillah and Puikwan bought a chicken burger each at 60baht (SGD2.60); and as for XueNi and me, we shared a strawberry jam pancake which cost 20baht (SGD0.90).

Photobucket
Yay! Done without using gloves! :P

Photobucket
Two chicken burgers;
kinda like "Ramly burger".

Photobucket
Making~~

Photobucket
Strawberry jam pancake;
kinda like a thinner, crispier prata with strawberry jam spread.

Photobucket
& on our way back, we bought a bracelet each :P
Krabi-ness~

Before we head back to our rooms, we decided to book an in-room full body massage with the receptionist. 400baht (SGD17.30) each. Massage chosen:- Milky Massage. Duration:- one hour. & also our last itinerary on the list :D! So excited!! My very first full body massage :P We have to strip down to our undergarments and lay on the bed while the masseuse slowly massage the entire body~~ So relaxing and comfortable. Luckily I'm not all that ticklish like Puikwan :P The most interesting part is when the masseuse locked your arms and twisted the spinal cord to the max. It has a very amusing "cracking" sound xD I can't stop myself from giggling!

Photobucket
The masseuse broke my anklet when she was trying to remove it Q.Q
My birthday present from my aunt... SPOILT!

After the wonderful massage, XueNi and I went over to room 404 to exchange and circulate the day1 pictures! :D We also took a look through the day's pictures and had a really good laugh before going back to our room for the night's rest.

Photobucket
I like to take something and knock against this bell ornament.
It was this very nice resonance to it :)
(I purposely knocked room 404's and said that I'm trying to summon spirits or something :X They all scolded me!)

Photobucket
Good night and that's the end of Day 1 of the Krabi trip! ♥
