Prize Stage: UFO Catchers

A movie outing with my movie buddy, WenJie. We decided to watch "Abandoned", a Cathay exclusive; and later head down to Marina Square for Prize Stage :D

After the movie, we went down to Marine Square for Prize Stage! We pretty much got bored of the small Prize Stage at Plaza Singapura; that's why WenJie wanted to go to the bigger one at Marina Square. Changed a few notes to coins and we started to feed the machines xD
We tried our luck for one of those small scoping UFO catchers (those usually have small plushies keychains, miscellaneous items, sweets). The first few times we caught naught *RAGE*. Apparently there was a technical problem on the other side of the machine, the technician/Prize Stage guy had to lift up the dome cover and fix whatever was the problem there.
An idea suddenly struck me :P I immediately put my hand into to the machine where the cover is slightly lifted up from there and took two small plushies and placed them on the moving platform. WenJie saw what I was doing and immediately put in coins so that the door flap will open. Thus the two plushies came tumbling down into the chute; followed by a small clover thing (@.@) I have totally no idea what was that. Later I approached the guy to ask whether I can exchange the plushies with the other plushies inside; especially the gloomy panda ones *_* And also to trade the clover thing with a Kabibara keychain~ All of our requests were granted! Awesome~ ;)
Afterward, we went to Pasta de Waraku for some late lunch :)

And then, we went back to Prize Stage to continue feeding coins to different UFO catchers; desperately trying our luck xD Of course, the rabbit won't bang its head twice on the tree :( Finally WenJie managed to catch a Mr. M figurine (well, that's what I have named it) and a Minnie Mouse plushie keychain.

There's this old woman who was playing the catching station beside us. She's a professional at it! She kept catching toys and toys and toys; and finally she even hit the jackpot prize, which was a super gigantic plushie! She spoke to us and told us that she collected all the jackpot prizes that she has almost all of them already! She's always coming back to win those new jackpot prizes as well. When she was about to leave, she gave me pick one of the small plushies :) And I picked the black nyanko :D Thanks T.T~

Later on, I have to leave to meet my parents. They were going to fetch my brother, Damien and me to the SAF Yacht Club. My aunt is holding some sort of chalet over there. So we just go there to join in the fun. Moreover, I have not been to such places before :D Thumbs up for new places to explore! (^_^)b

One of my aunts lent me her spare clothes and I changed into them. I had to secure the clothes with rubbers as they were too loose (@.@) And so, we went to the jacuzzi pool to relax. My parents were playing mahjong with my grandparents. Damien was playing billiard/pool (you know what? I don't know the differences between them!) with my cousin, Joel. And I spotted the constellation of Scorpio!~ xD
When it was getting pretty cold, all of us went up to the rooms to shelter from the cold wind :X I went to take a shower before changing back to my own clothes. We gathered in the other room, where there's no mahjong playing, and ate jellybeans and cheese cake. The cheese cake bought by Jorina was absolutely horrible! I have never in my life tasted such horrible cheese cake :(

ahsie asked me out for lunch with her friend, Hweehsia. And I had to travel all the way to Tampines. Imagine traveling all the way to Tampines for lunch and then I have to go back to Great World City for work?! Sounds crazy; but I did that :\ The reason was I have not seen ashie for a long long long timeeee T.T~ So once in a blue moon, this is okay :)

I went to my youngest brother's Speech Day event at Henderson Secondary School. It has been super long since I last went back to my secondary school. Anyway, the purpose was to see Damien receiving his award. Apparently, he did really well for his studies :D
My brother; top in combined humanities, combined science,
first in class and first in standard :D
I didn't know the Speech Day was so boring D: I have never attended one before because I'm usually part of the choir performance during the event. I didn't know that the uniform groups march parade was so horrible. No one even know what's going on outside. No speakers. The camera view of it was terrible.
Meh, the school principal was no longer Mrs. Yeo anymore :( This new principal (I don't even know what's his name D:), I didn't like him very much. He talks too much and he has the tendency to increase his volume suddenly when he's speaking :\ So funny to see students dozing off and then jerking up when he suddenly spoke loudly. His annual report speech was about two hours long. It was effing boring and no one was even paying any attention to him at all...

Went all the way to Jurong there for a job interview at Resort World HQ. Sadly, I have once again failed another interview. After the interview, I had to walk through a community centre to get to my bus stop. &&& the community centre has a small aviary! It was so awesome; I really like those yipyips :D Spent some time trying to take pictures of them :X And then I took a bus to meet Rommel at Lucky Plaza; accompanying him to get his SD memory card :)

Went to Johor Bahru; Malaysia with my mama and aunt :) Every friday is like a shopping day for us :D But now, I started working on fridays... So there's no more of such shopping trips for me anymore :(

Met with Johnatton at Bugis to collect his card games and we went to GV Marina to catch a movie; Professor Layton And The Eternal Diva. The movie was okay-ish. How to train your dragon is still the #1 movie of the month for me :)
Next, I met up with XueNi and we began our job hunt at the JobsDB Fair @ Suntec Conventional Hall!! Firstly, we registered ourselves at the counter and obtained a personal barcode. Next, we proceeded up to the 6th floor to submit our resume by scanning it into the system. When that was done, we were given a green sticker each to show that we have submitted our resume. & finally, we can properly start our job hunt :)
The proper procedure was to approach every booth to find out about their jobs; and then if we are interested in it, we have to scan our barcode to submit our resume to the individual company there. However, XueNi and I discovered a much simpler and lazier way of applying for jobs. All we have to do is walked up to the row of computers placed at the sides and start searching for whatever jobs you are interested and applied to them immediately; with no hassle! :D Hopefully, those companies would reply to us soon... or not :\
Later, we went to Kenny Rogers for our lunch/dinner.
(they should really invent a word for that since there's already a word called "brunch" which is breakfast/lunch...)

Pretty interesting that now all the gachapon balls are like colour code for each item in the gachapon machine. The little girl left without checking what she had gotten. We were curious so we peeped into the machine and realized that green capsule balls contain all the Itachis D: It was a horror to us. If only, she didn't hesitate :(
XueNi didn't really want to give up so she tried again and again and again. She gotten Naruto again, Sasuke, Sasuke again, Yondaime, Kakashi and Yondaime again. It was such a horrifying sight that I couldn't bear to watch. Mind you that each capsule cost $3. And she already got 4/5 of the charas. Only left with Itachi. Dodo the lutino cockatiel has passed away... Ever since that hole incident (Click here to read about it), Dodo has been very weak and couldn't fly at all due to its crop. Anyway, it has finally moved on after suffering for so long :( Here are some last pictures of it.

time for my usual mini posts that don't deserve a whole post on itself :)
::2nd Feb 10::
Movie marathon again for me :) After watching Law Abiding Citizen @ GV Grand, I made my way down to Plaza Singapura to meet up with Augusta, Edmund, Rebecca, Jamaica and Franzbeth. I was the first one there so I went to play a lil' jubeat :P After that, we went to GV Plaza to purchase Hachiko tickets, all using complimentary passes for 13 tickets! Why so many? Because Jamaica and Franzbeth brought their friends along~
The movie was sad, but not very sad to me. However Edmund was crying really terribly, with puffy red eyes and sobbing sounds :( Hey, I did cry too! But just not a lot :X Anyway, for dinner, Jamaica, Franzbeth and their friends ate at the food court. Augusta, Edmund, Rebecca and I were deciding what good food to eat! Man, I super love good food :) After wandering the entire shopping centre, we finally decided on Ajisen Ramen. And we... went home after that :P

Went to watch 20th Century Boys -part3- with ahsie! My treat D: Anyway, we have been waiting for this final installation since last year!! And, and, and the ending was amazing. I love the sudden twist in the end. Excellent, power, love it! ♥!!~

Yoga lessons in the afternoon with Lisa, JC and XueNi. After that, XueNi and I went walk-walk on the streets of Orchard Road! Our main objective was to get our ears pierced! :D We went to a shop at Wisma Atrium first, but it was too expensive :\ Then I suddenly remembered I did my 2nd piercing at a shop in The Cathay. So we walked all the way there. Stopping by at various shops to do window shopping and of course, the Toy Outpost at Plaza Singapura. That shop really made us spend our money everytime we enter Dx

Finally, we made our way to the Cathay and the shop I went to do my piercing two years ago is still there! :D We both decided to do a cartilage ear piercing for $5. I was really really scared that it will hurt like fucking bad. So XueNi went first instead of me :X When my turn came and went, I realized it didn't hurt as much as my 2nd piercing! I was glad :) I kinda enjoyed the throbbing sensation :D And yay! I have done my 3rd piercing xD

After that, we tried to take a bus to Bukit Merah but we didn't realize we were going in the wrong direction until halfway through the journey! D: We alighted somewhere near Upper Thomson Road and crossed the road and took the bus back :( WHAT A HUGE WASTE OF TIME! Went to the community centre... luckily it wasn't close! We signed up for the Passion card membership and also some classes. Crochet & Knitting for both of us and XueNi registered for elementary guitar lessons as well :P And that completed our super long day!~
