SOY Updates: Patapon the Making

It was pretty much a last minute decision that I wanted to cosplay Hatapon from Patapon on SOY'B. So I asked Aim to help me with it since he knew how to make it. His own Hatapon won the VGL contest last year! And yep, I wanted to try out mascot cosplay for once, at least :P
& so it began on...

Went out with Aim and Icee to hunt for my materials at Bugis and Arab Street.
Items bought:That's pretty much conclude that day. Spent around $40+ on materials.
• 2 hula hoops
• 4meters of black cotton cloth
• black gloves
• black corrugated board
• contact glue
• pieces of wood

This was when I started making the Patapon frame with Aim's help @ Yishun, outside one of his friend's house. His friend's house is real convenient for props making. He has all the equipments like hot glue, drill, whatever. And since, he lives on the first floor, there's lots of space to make props outside his house. It's a pity I don't remember his name already :(
With that, the body and the hat were done :)

Went over to Ngee Ann Polytechnic to make the eye of the Patapon and also to collect the flag from Aim. I'm gonna use his flag for SOY'B! :D Well, that's after I went to Vivo City to buy contact glue from Daiso and go back to my house to bring the Patapon body out of the house.
Yay! I finally know what is the space on the bus use for!

Went to Hougang to collect the flag pole from Aim. He has came down with chicken pox all of a sudden. Sorry for disturbing you at that period :(
And I spent the day before SOY'B doing last minute preparation! Like ironing of the flag. sticking on the eye, cutting slits on the Patapon for my arms.
Sewing the flag to the wire to secure it.
Cutting stray threads away.
& pasting the two circles on the flag :)

Will be pasting the hat at SOY'B itself.
Easier to transport the body there without the hat!

And with that, I have completed the costume. What's left was the lack of confident to pull it off successfully! Now without Aim there to help me out :( But really have to thank him from the bottom of my heart. Without him at the first place, I won't be able to cosplay Hatapon at all!!!
