::16th Jan 10::

Yay! My first trip to the Science Centre of year 2010! :D This excursion was requested by yours truly, Edmund. I planned the trip and invited the Epsilon along! Since there were more than 5 people going, I asked Yehoshua to ask his mama for the passes to Science Centre. 1 pass could allow 5 people to go in for free! :D Free stuffs are good :X Thanks to Yehoshua's mama again! I owed her lots of 人情 already T_T~

The passes Yehoshua got for us :D

X'mas presents received from XueNi
Mine's the cupcake xD

Headcount!: Epsilon (Edmund, ShunAn, XueNi, Puikwan & me), Yehoshua, Brandon and his female friend. Eight of us in total :) We couldn't find two more people in time.

Anyway, since Edmund is the main person of the day. Everything is up to him to decide. My only motive there was the new Sound exhibition :D Some pictures were taken along the way before reaching the Sound exhibition area. Brandon and his friend didn't tag along with us, they walked off by themselves.

Look at my horse.
My horse is amazing~

In the Ames Room!

Trying to touch the hologram! xD

& Yay! The much awaited Sound Exhibition!

I spent most of my time there with XueNi and Yehoshua. Read everything, tried out everything. The rest went off to the other exhibitions first. I met Johnatton coincidentally there as well! :D Anyway, the exhibition was really interesting and fun xD!! A lot of hands-on exhibits. Here are some of them. I don't really know some of the exact exhibit names though :P

Photobucket
Hot air organ.
My favourite exhibit there :D
I love the deep sounds it made.

Photobucket
Ripples effect made by vibrations.
This is what happen when two waves of ripples from each side collide against each other.

Photobucket
Really fun to play with echoes in this station.

Photobucket
Bone conductor.
You are supposed to bite down on the rod and then you will be able to hear something.
But I didn't hear anything!! :( Maybe I didn't do it right :\
(straws provided to cover the rod before biting)

Photobucket
One of the most fun exhibit.

Photobucket
Using the different shaped items.

Photobucket
Like this.
We are able to create music. Or you can say noise as well :X

Photobucket
It's really cool! xD

Photobucket
Replace actual words with same sounding words will leave you with this.
This is actually the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Read it out loud to find out.

We created sounds for this video in one of the exhibition studio by using simple items like wood, metal, newspaper. Yep, the video was a silent film with only the background tune playing.

And with that, it was reaching 3pm. I called Edmund and the rest to meet back at the atrium to watch the Tesla Coil demonstration. This is something that is not to be missed! I myself have watched it a couple of times and am not tired of it yet xD

Photobucket
Watch the green balloons explode when the purple electric discharge touches them!

After that, we carried on exploring the different areas of Science Centre.

Photobucket
Played this game again which tests our reaction by pressing the buttons when it blinks!
& yay! My score improved! I scored 1 point only on 7.02.09.

Photobucket
Kaleidoscopic effect

Photobucket
Apparently we always played with our silhouettes at the ZeroWave exhibit :X
This time we even did yoga there! xD
Pretty embarrassing when other people walked in on us D:

Photobucket
Trick mirror at the PSLE exhibition.

Photobucket
Ecogarden!! One of my favourite places in Science Centre.
I managed to find my cotton plants and gourds :D
(starfruits, lipstick plant, gourd, cotton, red flower, eggplant, cute pink thing, grape leaves)

Went back into the building as Edmund wanted to try out the machine that transforms your face into how it will look like at different ages. Baby, Child, Teenager, Adult, Old. ShunAn tried it out as well. And they forced me to try it out as well!!! D:

Photobucket
My child picture kinda looks like primary school picture!
And my old picture... looks like my maternal grandma... @.@

Photobucket
Can't wait for this new exhibiton!! Sounds extremely fun! :P

And that's the end of our excursion to the Singapore Science Centre!!
ShunAn and Puikwan went home first. While Edmund, Yehoshua, XueNi and I went to IMM to have our dinner. Japanese curry rice FTW! :D

Photobucket
Yum :P

-THAT'S THE END OF THIS POST-
Hope you people enjoyed yourselves at the Science Centre like I did :D
