::22th Aug 09::

This is actually the next part of EOY: Wig Cutting Session post.
Long post ahead *warning!* due to the massive amount of pictures :X

Stopped by McDonald's, because everyone was hungry xD!! I tried the Spicy Snack Wrap, it was alright. We left Tiong Bahru at 3.45pm or so and took the MRT to Simei. On the train, we immediately took out our NDS and played Mario Kart. Mario Kart is really not my forte :( ShunAn met someone he knew on the train. The rest of us thought that she was a friend and we made fun of ShunAn's NDS nick "Chuan", which is his sister's name. Little that we know... THAT PERSON WASN'T HIS FRIEND, BUT HIS SISTER... D: We all went into stun mode @_@...

NDS
It's great that most of my friends have NDS :)

Alighted at Simei and transferred to bus5 there. We stopped playing as we were afraid that we might missed our stop :X Took all the way to Changi Japanese Primary School or in other words, The Japanese School.

aliens
All the aliens were here!! :) Amazing, eh?
Some were missing a leg or two :X

badges
Toycon badges were all here too! xD

Not forgetting a group picture on the bus :X

And finally... WE REACHED THE SCHOOL! Looked really huge from the outside... I stared at the building with amazement. Bigger than my own primary school!!! But when I looked at the queue... my eyes widen with further amazement... IT WAS EFFING LONG!!!!! Dx Like a snake queue with 4 curves... :( We started at the 4th curve, of course... UNDER THE SUN! D:

Finally at the 1st curve :) Getting in soon!!

Photobucket
3 of them played Mario Kart until they go into their NDS already D:
Too engrossed!

Anyway, after... approximately 1.5hours of queuing... WE WERE FINALLY IN!!!~ Bought the ticket at $2 and went in to look for the yukata renting room first.

Sadly... All the yukata were rented out :(
We were too late. Later, we heard from XueNi's friend, Jasmine, that have to be there at least 3pm to be able to rent the yukata... That early! When the festival only starts at 5pm.
I think ShunAn was the most disappointed one :(

Gave our tickets at the entrance of the festival and gotten uchiwa fans instead xD They were proved to be really useful in this festival especially... We turned to the left building first, where all the food booths were located :P We queued up at "Amy Restuarant" first and bought the following.

These fans are called Uchiwa!

I bought the fried cheese fish ball xD

Photobucket
Edmund bought this!!
I really regretted not buying it :(

Next, we went to queue at "Minasen". DAMN! Shouldn't have queue up for that booth!!! The queue time for this was really long! We queued for almost 2 hours to get our food D: Amazing, right? XueNi suddenly got stomach cramps while queuing. Poor her :(

When it's nearing to our turn, XueNi and I decided to look around for drinks and also to queue, in case the queue for it was very long too. We walked all the way to the inner left building, still couldn't find anything to drink except beer... ASAHI BEER! There's no ramune this year!! I'm like so disappointed :( We bought Apple Collagen juice instead at "Mt. Fuji Enterprise", and for the others, the raspberry one. The flavours kept changing because they were finishing fast. To raspberry, citrus vinegar, blackcurrant and so on xD

Anyway, when we finally got our food from the "Minasen" booth, we went to the back of the building to sit down and rest our spoilt legs :( Imagine we queued freaking long for just 4 panda-yaki and 1 takoyaki... And when we took a look at their leaflet, their shop is located at Anchor Point! LIKE SO NEAR AR! DON'T EVEN HAVE TO QUEUE UP! :\

There were performances on stage in the middle of the field :)

After that, we got up and walked about randomly, until Edmund they all found seats at those booths which have already closed up. I met some of my anime friends there :D Was really glad to meet them after so long!~

Interesting balloon sculpture she has on her head xD

XueNi and I then proceeded to the building on the right for the games section. The others whose legs were spoilt beyond any recognition stayed seated there. We went to the ticket booth to purchase a game coupon at $2. We head for the "Yoyo Tsuri" game immediately xD Luckily the queue for it was short :D Exchanged our game coupons for a string with a "W"-shaped hook.

Didn't really know how to play it! I only know I have to use the hook to fish the water balloons in the kiddie pool. I didn't know that I'm not supposed to submerge the hook into the water as that will loosen the hook from the string and dropped into the pool :( So silly!! Anyway the woman there gave us a consolation yoyo balloon instead :) I wonder how those people are able to hook up so many balloons... They must have practiced a lot or maybe... just spent a lot of money on the game :\

White for me, purple for XueNi.
She failed too! :X

On our way back to find the resting rest, I bought a $1 ice cream and 2 origami paper for $3!~ I also bought another ice cream before going home later. And... later, while Edmund and I were queuing up for the curry rice, I saw a Japanese guy with the name "Akira" Woot! I must take a picture with him! I stopped queuing because their curry rice was out of stock and I wanted to take a picture with Akira. Btw, Jun looked pretty handsome too :X But didn't manage to take a picture with him :( I still think caucasian guys are the best :X

Later, we waited with XueNi for her friends, Jessie and Jasmine, to find her. And they took out their dolls!~ xD Met and took a picture with Jordan :) And we left the place at around 9pm+. Took bus5 back to Simei together and XueNi went off with her friends.

Photobucket
Pretty faces ;)

Photobucket
I want this Domo-kun bag!!
But it cost $30 :( The price dropped to $25 later though.
But I didn't bring enough money... I'll buy it next year then!

Edmund, ShunAn, Puikwan and I decided to have our dinner there before going home. $1.80 chicken rice and $1.80 ice mountain water. That was when I realized I have lost my $10 note!!! I must have dropped it on the bus when taking out my ezlink card :( ShunAn and Edmund were very nice, they treated me dinner :D Thank you!!

We left the place at 10.30pm+ and took the train back to Tiong Bahru. It was a really interesting day :D Really glad I did go to this year's Natsu Masuri, will be going again next year!! Must reach there earlier in order to rent the yukata! ;)
