Met up with Tsuki as well before heading to the SOY location. And wow, it was already quite crowded. Tsuki helped us to get our $5 tickets and we went to the food court to have our brunch first :) Later, TingYu and I went to the toilet to get ready! Oh, and fixing the hat onto the Patapon!!! TingYu; her wig, me; black leggings and Patapon; hat. Haha, I seriously looked weird wearing a shirt with black leggings only!! Anyway. once I put on the Patapon head frame. I'm READY!! Not forgetting to wear the black long gloves xD

We marched all the way back to the event location. "Pata pata pata pon..." I was so terrified that my Patapon hat will fly off!!! Because I was marching against the wind Dx So super happy that there's a lot of people recognised my cosplay and wanting to take pictures with me! TingYu and Edmund helped by telling me if there's people who wanted to take pictures of me. Edmund helped me carry my bagpack as well!! So happy to have TingYu, Edmund and later on, Yehoshua to help me out as saikangs. (pictures from now on are spammed randomly, not in any order... just random... though, not as much pictures were taken as EOY09)

We wandered around the whole place, taking pictures and meeting friends. Violet found me this time! xD We found Eclair and her friends as well, and JiaQing too :D For the frequently asked question on whether I can see. Yes!! I can see through the black cotton cloth. Not very clear but still able to see. Like sunglasses; only less clearer.

We made our way into the convention hall as well. My Patapon has suffered injuries in there :( Kept banging against people or people kept banging against me D: The lights there were orange and dim. It was really hard to see. And I couldn't see what were the booths selling at all! I kept asking TingYu to describe what were sold at each booths xD Though one of the booths gave me a RO heart emoticon! :D Thanks! And some girl actually spanked my bottoms there as well! Dx And one man called me AN EYE! He told his friends he wanted to take picture with THE EYE! :( I am not any eye... I'M HATAPON, the brave warrior who leads the Patapon army and protects the mighty Pata-Drum!!! *Pon pon pata pon*


I had a hard time using my handphone when I'm cosplaying. So Edmund helped me with the replying xD At one point, we (TingYu, Edmund, Yehoshua, Eclair + friends, JiaQing) went for a drink break from all the cosplaying. But by the time, the food court was closed already! We went round and round the food court, trying to find an unlocked door to get in. But we failed... orz... However the auntie was kind enough and allowed two people to go in to get drinks for the rest of us :)

Anyway, after that, it was time to resume back to Patapon self. Met more people like Yusri, Eriol and Moo! Took more photos. Played somemore.


And phew... I realized it was tough to be a mascot. It was like an oven in there. My arms and shoulders ached because I had to carry the flag and the sign for a long period of time without putting down. Each time I posed for the camera, I felt pretty light headed.

Ah, anyway we didn't stay until the event was over. I didn't have the stamina to do so! So we changed out and left at 4.30pm. TingYu and Edmund wanted to come to my house. We shared the cab fare back and they stayed for Wii and dinner :P


Heh, time for the usual conclusion thingy. I glad that I finally managed to cosplay a mascot chara! Hatapon from Patapon. One of my favourite chara from the PSP game, Patapon. I also got to experience the toughness of being a mascot as well. To those people out there doing mascots, I take my hat off to you!! Can't take my Hatapon hat off though... If not, Hatapon will die :X Lol, joke. Not sure whether I will be doing another mascot chara again... Most probably will redo the costume and cosplay as Meden for GCA!! :X Maybe~
